It was 9.15pm and although it was not very late, the road was kinda quiet coz there was nobody, only the light from the lamp-post outside everything estate. The lady was wearing a bermuder with a white top, a flip-flop slipper and a pair of glasses. Her hair was long and left untied. She stood by the road side for about 15mins with no cabs stopping to take her despite there were a few empty cabs passing by her. As another cabby approaches her, she lift up her hand and wave for the driver to stop. The cab slowed down and slowly passed by her, with the driver inside looking intensly at her and drove off. It was only when the lady walk out to the main road did she managed to get into a cab.
Qns: Why did those cabbies by-pass her and even slow down to take a look?

Incident 2:
It was past mid-nite when a lady made her way towards the lift to go up to her unit. As she was walking she saw a middle aged aunty rushing to press the lift. However after she pressed the button, she quickly walked to take the stairs instead. By then the lady managed to reach the lift before it closes. There was a long hair, tired looking lady in the lift. She seem harmless, looking at the floor and carrying a small bag and a umbrella.
Qns: Why did the elderly aunty rush to press the lift button but turned away to take the stairs instead?

My post after quite some time

While waiting for my hair to dry before I sleep, tot might as well blog sine its been a while I posted a post..

Am very happy coz I finally finished my work on time and I've started on another set of work. Seem like quite a routine job but hello... every job oso routine wat. Sales, you just do the same thing over again and again, just that to diff clients. Admin, all the paper work is a cycle too. Accounts, calculation everyday. Even the CEO, play golf lah, meeting lah, sign name on doc lah..also routine mah. So watever routine it is, impt thing is you're happy doing it.

Many things cross my mind when it comes to work but each time it does, I just remind myself the work I'm doing. The tot of the impact by the sermon really encourages me and bring my focus back to the Creator and His work. Abiding in Him and Him in me. Knowing His love for me makes me dwell in His presence. So just MMOB and do my work, recieving as I'm working, focusing on the purpose and motivated by the result and comforted by His love.

Recently watch a few shows. Crash, a movie I;ll recommend strongly. Feel that its a good movie with meanings. 7 swords, a rather funny violent yet not very violent passable movie. Bewitched, a normal movie which can be better. The next one I wanna watch is The Maid. Heard that its not bad so will catch it next week.

Am still feeling sore and aches on my legs after last Sat and Sun.. Not so much on the camp but rather the all about the goodness of God! Hahhaa... Today has been quite an "interesting" day for my fren and I. We agreeded last night that today all will be well (regarding a certain issue in our life). We reminded one another last nite and ourselves today that the battle belongs to the Lord and that we are to rest in His goodness and rec the fruits. Many things I am not able to be explicit in my sharing but I'll try to record as much as possible. Anyway I think I should be able to remember just by reading what I've recorded :) Bottomline, everything was as calm as the sea of galilee for my fren while for me, it has been good too. At the moment when I was bombard by a thought, I saw a rainbow. I was so excited that I sms-ed my fren to look into the sky. Though I fekt discouraged for a minute, I was reminded of His promises and goodness when i saw the rainbow. Praise Jesus!

While we were talking just now, I felt and still feel that my fren has grown trememdously within the past few days. I could see that she has caught a revelation and that has been empowring her life and making the difference for her and she just having to recieve the victories and blessings. I duno much for myself but I sure know that there are differences too. Encouraged, faith and joy is what I am feeling now.

It is so difficult and torturing to force yourself to continue to have faith in Him of the good things when you are really facing "end of the world" kinda issues but it is like one snap and SOOoooo easy to believe and praise Him when suddenly the revelation dawn upon you. Imagine giving up in trusting and seeking God when things are really hard, you will be "dead meat" and miserable. But by the grace of God when you continue to believe and seek Him, you'll come out MUCH stronger and loving God much more with the knowledge and the witness of His goodness. For sure I've seen and witness the above statement and I thank God that His grace brought us through. Hallelujah!!

Leaving for a camp soon

I am still awake when I am suppose to be sleeping now coz gonna wake up in 2+hrs time. Now my car has a bodyknit and the next thing I'm gonna modify is the lights. Some of my friends said my car will be "beng beng" after all the modifying but I like leh..my beng beng car :p hahaha.....

Something very funny happened this afternoon. After I received my car, I went to caltex to wash my car. I've never been to this kisok before and I wanted to wash and vacume the car. However I do not know whether they provide vacume services. When I drove into the manual washing section, the uncle walk the the other side, so I wind down the left window and asked my friend to check with the uncle on the service. Immediately when i wind down the wind, I heard a big "SPLASH" and the next thing I know was the my car interior and my friend were WET! the uncle din not noticed I've wind down the window and he was just too fast and took a pail of water to splash on my car. I turned to look at the uncle and he was still unaware and was about to splash another pail of water again!! I quickly wind up the wind and just when the window was shut fully, another splash came. I look at my friend and I can't help but laugh. And my poor friend, instead of wiping herself with the tissue, she had to wipe dry my car interior the asir con and cd player first. So funny!!

An encounter with Ah Beng

I was meeting my friends at Cineleisure few days ago when I had this encounter with a Ah Beng and his Ah Lian girlfriend. It was 9+pm and I turned into the public carpark opposite Cineleisure. When I turned in, a car came out from a lot. As there was a taxi infront, I turned right thinking the taxi is taking the empty lot. As I finished my turn, the taxi driver behind me sounded his horn and signal me to take the slot. At the same time there was this black and white Subaru Ah Beng car that turned into the carpark infront of me and saw the lot. Initially I thought I'll give up the lot coz anyway I've passed the lot but the stupid Ah Beng started to horn me and high beam me to tell me to move aside so that he can move into the lot. I was so angry. Had him not beam or horn me, I would have move on to give him the lot. But he horn me leh...beam me somemore. I was really mad and started reversing my car. The beng also stepped in his acceleration to move forward towards me and trying to squeeze in b/w the taxi and me to get the lot. The taxi driver did not move (I think he was trying to help me).

At that moment it was really about "who scare who" kinda thing. A test of courage and fierce-ness against one another to see who dare to bump the otehr inorder to get the lot. I really din care manz...I just stepped on the accelerator as I reversed and went into the lot. As I was parking my car, the Subaru turned left infront of me and the beng and lian stared at me angrily. I couldn't care less anyway, just parked my car and walk off "proudly". Hahahhaa...actually when I think about it now, it was really quite dangerous and silly boldness. After the movie, I was quite worried that the beng might have done something to my car. But when I walked into the carpark and saw his car at the other end, I knew my car was fine. If not he wouldn't dare park his car there least I go vandalise on his car too!

Some good news!

First of all, I have a keyboard now :) Praise Jesus! He always give more than enough. Why? Two days ago, a friend told me her friend who happened to read my blog intend to bless me with her keyboard so that she can upgrade hers. On the same day evening, some friends of mine bought me a brand new Yamaha keyboard. Thoug my room is really very cramp now, there's still a bit of space for my new toy :)

Another good news is that someone from the public returned my wallet to Ang Mo Kio Police Division. More than 3 weeks have passed. I was intending to replace my driving licence yesterday when my friend called me in the morning to tell me the news. Went down to the Policew station today to collect my wallet. Other than my cashcard and ATM card, everything else was inside. Although I've cancelled all my credit cards, I still thank God that I don't have to get a new driving licence. Praise Jesus!

So happy. Had intended to take cab home to unload before going for 4th service. However I wasn't feeling well. Has been having sore throat since Tuesday but din not seek treatment coz there isn't any. By yesterday my throat was really bad. After dinner I had wanted to go back hotel but becoz the majority wants to go shopping, all of us alighted at the shopping and not long after, it started pouring and I was drenched... When I was in the plane, I felt very cold and started shivering with slight fever. By time I reached home and rested, I felt too weak to go to church hence decided to stay home and sleep..

Inorder to avoid the usual nag, I did not tell my mum I was sick. So while I was sleeping, she started on the blaster KTV and manz..I was really trying hard to sleep, but I think I was too tired and weak and hence managed to doze off here and there. Just went to doctor and got medicine for my fever and rashes...very tired..wanna sleep nnow...

ATRO TRIP - Day 5

Today is the last day of oour volunteer work. Am at Khao Lak Resort now and will be checking out tomolo 9am to check in a resort in Phuket and will be our R&R day. Actually I am very tired now and I really wonder whether I will go out tomolo. For sure the ladies will be out shopping but for me..see how lah

Let's see...what happened today. Went 4 villages and one of it is a new ground. By now I really am convinced that be it a new ground or a buddhist village, nothing is difficult for us to share becoz God is the One who brought us here and He is the One who has ALREADY prepared them to receive. I believe the people who responded to altar call are people who are ready and just waiting for the true God to manifest to them. Some might feel "How to preach to them?" or "What to pray for them?". Only to realise that God has already prepared them for us to just share with them the goodness and love of God. The true God who will deliver them out of whatever situation they are in now. That is why I believe it is easy for the villagers to receive healing once them said the sinners' prayer. They are just so sincere and asking God to show them that He is real. Simple people with simple faith that moved Gods heart!

When eerything was over, I felt relief but at the same time quite sad. Glad coz I don't have to expose myself in the sun anymore. My both arms are really burnt now.. A friend told me to wear a cap so that I dun get my face burnt. Yup..I din get my face burnt but...I got my ears burnt!! My right ear especially..Yah..you all will see a red crab this Sunday, that is if I go svc. My bag super heavy.. Am sad coz fell reluctant leh.. It's really not easy and tiring at the same time for the past few days but when you see the face of the people who responded to altar call and those people with joy and gratitude on their face, you will immediately feel that all that sweat, bites, burns, miserable meals :p are all WORTH IT. Its really precious. Ask me if I'll come again? I will, if there's an opportunity again. Wanna go build homes also :) Daddy You heard hor? :p

ATRO Trip - 3rd & 4th Day

I wasn't able to post a blog on the actual 3rd day simply bcoz there wasn't any internet access in the 2nd hotel we stayed. I prefer the 1st hotel thou, cleaner and at least have internet access. Today is already the 5th day and I'm trying to recall the happenings for the past two day. Too many things have happened and I really am not sure which belongs to which. So I reckon I'll sum up 3rd and 4th day together :p

We went to a rather deserted village which requires us to take sampan. The previous team has been there before. We loaded the packets of food onto a big sampan and and sat for 45mins before we reached. I was burnt by the end of the day. Heard that the previous team got themselves burnt too when they went to this particular village. Th one thing that I remember very clearly was 3rd day's lunch-box. 75baht for a packet of white rice and with a spoonful of minced meat. I am not kidding. Never in my 26yrs of life have I eaten that kind of lunch box. I must add that the meat is quite good and the rice is nice but its just too little vegi for that portion of rice. Especially when I actually am so used to eating a variety of dishes for a meal :P
But anyway, it was really a good experience. Other than the food itself, everything was so cool!
There is just too many testimonies for me to note down. Can only remember some. There is this particular lady from a village whom upon prayed for spoke in tongues. A man was healed and could bend and squat after prayer. I was just so awe by the sight. Praise Jesus!

3rd day was our packing food day. We checked out from the hotel and went to if I remember correctly, 1 village. There after we checked into another hotel where there is no internet access. We rested for about 2hrs before we went to a local church to pack the food. Initially all of us thought that we might have to pack till 2am coz we started only 5+ 6pm and we were supposed to pack 1135pkts of food. However, we finished everything by 11pm and for once, I slept before midnite :) Oh yah, my room-mate, full-plus the aircon and still find it not strong enough! I was like hiding in side my vlanket and shivering..but thank God she is a nice person. Gave me the permission to lower it if I really find it too cold. Hee..

4th day is a clearer picture to me. A very challenging day. We went to a temple where all the photos of the victims from the Tsunami were displayed. It was really not pleasant. Not at all horrifying but certainly not pleasant. As the previous team did not visit that place, I took shots of some of the photos. It was very sad to see the photos..man are sure beautiful creation of God but destroyed so terribly by the devil.. We went to a village sponsored by a temple with a cuper huge buddha statue at the entrance. NCC team has never been there before and was told that it might be difficult to share the gospel with the people. However, nothing is really difficult for God. Its whether His people are willing to take that step of faith to be a vessel. Anyway, people responded to altar call and healing. People were healed and there was a lady who was slained. She also invited our leaders to sanctified her temporary house, praise Jesus!

The next interesting village was really a challenge. This village has been very resistent to christian missionaries eversince a group of missionary went to preach and smashed their buddha statue with a hammer. Very extreme hor..I find it funny but of course, cannot like that lah..no respect for the villagers' feeling. Haiz...wisdom be upon that group :p When we reached there, the atmopshere was really different. The people did not walked over to our area. Despite we announced through the amps, people were still not walking over. Finally our leader started going to the people and invited them over. Slowly one by one our people took th step to go to them and the next thing I saw was our people bringing the villagers back one by one and most of them accepted Jesus after the sharing. It was really amazing! Ministering was slightly different. Instead of doing healing, a call was given to those who have lost someone to the Tsuanmi and it was the first time in the past few days. I believe God meant it for the right place at the right time. People broke down and cry. Deliverance took place and joy and peace filled them. I was having close up shots on the people's expression and I was holding back my tears as I was shooting. God really love them..

Felt this when I was shooting. We, or rather, speaking for myself, felt that I was supposedly coming here to bles the people. But when I saw them for these few days, I just felt that God is blessing me much more through these people. No doubt we did bless them with our presence, material food and the gospel, they have in turn been used to bless us much more. Interesting huh.

ATRO Trip - Day 1

Now is 10mins to midnite here in Krabi. Staying in this Greenery Hotel and yes..they have internet access and laudry services, praise God! Hahahaha...

My room-mate is sleeping in the room now and I believe alot others have slept. Today was really a tired day. One of the female volunteer over-exerted while another male volunteer commented that today is worse than IPPT. Me? My hands are suan, my legs are suan and I'm super tired now but tot better to post before I sleep.

After we reached Phuket Airport, the lady co-ordinator here sent us straight here to check in and did a short briefing before sending us for lunch. Everything was good during the briefing. All of us did a very short speech of why we signed up for this trip. Someone said something which I really like. It is easy for a Singaporean to give money but hard to give time. Hence he wanna do something different, to sow time. Another guy said something which I find it very true oso. He said its harder coz Singaporean are so used to the pampered life-style. Imagine taking leave to come for a trip where you will work even harder? Yah, and that what they are doing now. God bless them abundantly.

Today I ate very little..By lunch-time, I was very hungry but unfortunately, the coffee-shop we went, they did not have enuff veggi. The boss said they can cook more rice but not the veggi..so many of us ended up eating cup noodle and I was one of them. And the flavour all spicy and I ended up with a Tom Yum flavour..but dinner 9+pm, I was so tired to the extend that I don't feel like eating but knowing I have to, I ate for the sake of eating and ate only half of the portion, really to tired. But I ate an ice-cream. Very unqiue and nice for a disgusting price of 15baht. 4 scoop of ice-cream with topping sweetcorn, ah ta seed, bread crumbs and glutinous rice. Weird? But its nice lor.

Why was dinner so late? Well, the group decided to finish all work before dinner. Those kind of "work not finished = no dinner". Something I noticed very nice was that after we loaded 620packs of food onto the truck, we were told that there was a mistake and that we need to unload 100packs and reload boxes of sauce. The amazing thing was that there wasn't a single groan. As far as I noticed, I din hear any. Instead, they motivated one another and unload immediately. We have 27ppl but only 11 of them are guys. 1 pack of food is more than 7kg. How do I know? Coz its heavier than cam3. The constant dragging of the plastic bag from station to station strained everybody's back but all of them still willingly work on it and made the decision to eat after everything's done. Hence dinner was delayed. But anyway, it was really good to see the attitude of the group.

I did capture some stuff here and there but I think by evening, the shots probably became more jerky coz I started packing rice and sardine after I finished packing toothpaste and soap. Felt very redundant hence help when assigned. But now I really pray that tomolo my arms will still be in perfect condition to shoot. Tomolo is distribution day and will be shooting the whole day. Praise Jesus!

Wah..midnite liao, better go sleep now if not overslept then jialak arr...

Flying off soon

Yah yah yah...blogging again! Interesting! You really don't know who is reading what huh :) Read read read! Blogs are meant to be read anyway :)

Had a thought this morning. Now is April going to be May. I was reminded of certain issues and reminded of how wonderful and faithful my heavenly Daddy is. Talking about ATRO trip next week. I remember when I was in Teenzeal I told God that I wanna go out and bring back footages of His goodness and manifestation for the world to see. To witness and share what I saw and experienced. To bring back testimonies and impact and tell the world that God is real and showering His love on His people. I remember back then though I said I want to, I really didn't know how it was gonna work out. Everything seem like "just saying" and "daydreaming" kind. Its so funny how God paved the way of a girl who knows nothing about video to come under the wing of video ministry. To lead a partially handicapped inferior gal into camera works and soon going overseas to bring back footages and testimonies. Despite the footages are only for announcement and not for broadcasting to every part of the world, I'm happy. Despite the footages are for archives purposes, I am happy. The fact that I'm able to go, capture and bring them back is a start of God's faithfulness in bringing the once used to be "just saying " and "daydreaming" vision into reality. It may be small, but great things always come after faithfulness in the little things of God. This is just the beginning and I know there will be more. I'm excited about this trip. No doubt there is a bit of fear of "Am I able to survive that week?", I know God is gonna equip me WELL for this coming trip.

Another thought is I remember last Christmas, Pastor told us to make 3 wishes to God and expect God to fulfil it. I of course made more then 3 wishes but the main 3 wishes which I wrote down, one of them came to pass by Feb this year and that is my parents' salvation. And guess what? Both of them are having their water baptism this Sun! Praise Jesus! 2nd wish is sort of fulfil. A new job which I will enjoy and like and able to provide. I know God will not fail me but instead give me a good job. Just that I didn't expect is a job I deem as impossible since 3years ago. Well guess what?! Impossible is a word missing in God's dictionary. I do have some fears about the future once I start on this new job but again, God is faithful. I choose to believe last Sunday's message by Kenneth E. Hagin Jr. was a confirmation from God. Do not worry about my future because God HAS GREAT PLANS for ME!

Again, I see and believe this is a happening year. A year in which if you dare to believe, you will have it. Recently a verse keep dwelling in my peanut brain. "My people shall never be put to shamed". I am convinced that if you dare to believe Him for something, He will not shame you. So I am believing Him for the 3rd wish. Ask me if I am 100% convinced He is gonna fulfil it and I'l be honest to say no. I still feel there's a bit of impossibility but hey, I wasn't 100% convinced before the above 2 wishes was fulfilled. So what!? God still is faithful. With men it is impossible but with God, ALL THINGS are POSSIBLE! Yeah! That's MY God, MY Daddy! So cool right!

Yesterday noon I bought a Baby Taylor. Nope, I din not get back my 2k. But I loaded mah. My nickname Loaded Leong aka Smartie! Hahaha... Anyway, I was suppose to use that money to buy a keyboard but when I stepped in the place, a beautiful guitar caught my attention. I went over and to my surprise is a Baby Taylor. What I have been looking for and wanted to possess was right infront of me. Yah yah yah, I have a few guitars already and yah yah yah, I don't have a keyboard. I tried on the guitar and the sound is just so wonderful to me. The feel, the look, the sound. Everything is perfect. Bottomline, I bought the Baby Taylor and forgo the keyboard :p Very soon, very soon I will have a keyboard. Daddy marked my words already :)

ATRO

Finally the long awaited trip! I'm leaving for Thailand on the ATRO Tsuanmi trip next Mon-Sun. So happy and excited that I'm going. Although will be going there as a video personnel rather than a volunteer, I'm happy still :) At least I get to go and after getting all the wanted shots, I can volunteer oso mah. Been warned not to help carry oil lah, rice lah, sardine lah, basically all the heavy heavy stuffs. Can only find a station to help pack daily necessities like toothbrush lah, nets lah etc and etc. Sound like a vase hor..? Eat until so big and strong go there pack those super small and light stuff :p What to do..scarly later carry here carry there hands tired take camera all the shots jerking I'll be dead meat arr.. so how..? packer lor..but I'm still HAPPY can go :)

Was reading the notes given during the briefing and there is this perfomance/entertainment thingy. It says all volunteer have to participate. Hahaha...suddenly I thanked God that I'm a video personnel! :p I wonder who is my room-mate coz I pity her leh. I heard there is only 1 power point in the room and that is for the TV. However, I'll need to use it to charge the camera batteries and in the middle of the nite, my hp alarm will ring to wake me up to change batteries. So my room-mate will have to go other rooms to watch TV and be disturbed by my alarm and I guess I'll have to wake up earlier than anyone of them..Actually I'm quite worried that I'll be so tired that I'll ignore my alarm and continue to sleep and I'll have no batteries for camera the next day. And again, I'll be dead meat! Aiyo...bind bind bind. I shall wake up and still refreshed and joyful and energnetic in JESUS' name, amen!

I'm still a bit confused and blur. leaving next Mon and there are still alot of things I've yet to do. Learn about the new camera I'll be using, what things to buy and wat things to take note. Bought a haversack though. Vertika big big for only $85 :) I lost 2k so must calculate properly before spending mah..hahaha.. i think i still need quite alot stuff. Tested Kangoo, Picanto, Getz, Vios and Citroen. Kangoo is very cheap but van and 2 seater only leh.. Picanto only 1L leh.. Getz is actually quite an ideal car for me but duno whether is it becoz I'm baised or wat, I somehow feel smoother driving Picanto. Worse is Getz rear mirror is manual arr.. Vios leh..ok lor, not much to comment. Only thing is their 10% deposite. Citroen is probably the most comfortable car I've tried but expensive and is a French car..parts are rare and expensive.. Don't like Nissan Sunny but seem like bo pian leh..think will have to arrange a test drive with Nissan and try Getz again..

It has been confirmed that at my age and my driving experience, I fall int the most expensive catogory in insurance.. about 2K+- leh.. Unless I get the car under another person's name..

Had dinner with an ex-schoolmate. His Mazda 323 just had an accident and was quite badly hit. He told me some stuff that really make me panic. Coz for the past few days, I've been a speeding demon. The Mazda 323 is a auto car. I feel so relax driving an auto car. Much easier and relaxing. Mazda 323 is not bad, kinda like it. Had dinner at Geylang, drove down Mohd Sultan and got lost somewhere to Tiong Bahru and finally back to Selegie for supper coz highly recommended by my fren. It turned out that the prata is horrible..the worst prata I've ever eaten in my life..After supper was "sending friends home" time. While sending some friends home, we lost our way again soewhere in Toa Payoh..had to park the car by the road side to consult the street directory.. hahahha...Another funny incident was when I parked the car at Geylang, none of us knew anything about the parking coupons. Anyway I tore coupons for 1 hour. The moment I locked the car, one elderly man sitting by the coffee shop asked and said to me that after certain time no need coupon. Quite embarressing..but it was okie lah, we just laughed our way out.

Watched Ms Congeniality II today at Suntec. I like that show and SAndra Bullock simply rocks! Okie okie...I admit I'm a fan of Sandra Bullock but I simply love her. She is one rare actress who can make me laugh, and I mean Laughing while watching her movies. Almost all that I've watched, I loved it. Praise God Part II wasn't a disppointment. Initially I was kinda concerned coz usually sequel movies sucks. However, I enjoyed watching this. Funny and good. I prefer Part I definately but Part II is not bad too. Will get the DVD when its out :)

Another movie I've watched recently is Howl's moving castle. I definately prefer Spirited Away. Howl's is a bit slow moving. The show is not really that bad but I was abit confused here and there. Still, Spirited Away is better. Oh yah, one thing I dun like about the two shows is their chants and evil spirit looks..

KIA Picanto

Went to Turf City this afternoon to look at cars. While roaming aimlessly in the "sort of" carpark, a green green thingy from afar caught my eyes. So I walked over lor..then hor.."Wahhhhh...!!!" very cute leh. A green Picanto. Cute little green car and I tested it. Ermmm..quite ok lah for a 1.1L car. Price is reasonable for a KIA and my kind of obiang colour. Hahaha.. But none of my friends agree in me getting the car leh..Everybody say KIA no good lah, Korea car lah, low end lah and blah blah..Nobody say good leh..say what Getz is better. Haiz...but I like the Picanto leh. Imagine I get a light blue Picanto with doggie footprints on the door. So cute :)

One thing I don't understand is that people who tell me that KIA is no good are people not driving KIA and those who drive KIA are saying KIA is ok, not that bad. Of course if were to compare KIA with Japan cars, Japan car stands out way above but more expensive oso lor.. Haiz..see how lah

Last Day of my Bangkok / Chiang Mai Trip

Am now at Bangkok Airpot. Time here is 4pm and my flight is 7pm. Can only get my boarding pass earliest 5pm...Hence am loitering around. Wanted to check email in this Internet place and their charges is a standard charge of 75baht for the first 30min, even if you din use 30mins, its still 75baht. So might as well post a blog since I finished my mails.

Today I finally get to sleep shiok shiok! I woke up 10am and I believe I had at least 8hrs of rest. Then once I was in the plane at Chiang Mai, I KO again. Woke up 10mins after the plane took off and I din even noticed it AGAIN! The last time I KO was back from Israel. hahhaa... Anyway, I dun like the snack served on the Thai Domestic Airlines. Its a packet of sweet and salted peanuts, taste weird weird. So this time round I returned the snack and KO again! Woke up when the plane was landing. Surprisingly the 1 hr plus seems rocket to me, I haven't slept enuff leh.. Hehehee... Think past few days I must have been really playing hard! Later in plane will sleep again :p

I believe by now, my grandparents altar has been removed by Pastor Mark. Had arranged for him to go to my place today after 2pm to remove the altar and guess what! It's requested by MY PARENTS! Hahahaa...praise God! :)

I'm praying that my dad did not take out my bedsheet to wash. I noticed whenever i'm away, he'll wash my bedsheet and leave the clean ones on my mattress. Of course I appreciate that. Just that whenever I'm home and see my bed 'undone', I feel so pathethic leh..So tired and late already still have to do my bed.. Then given my character, I always end up unpacking after tidying up my bed..and the result will be me sleeping in the very "early morning". The worst was back from Israel.. That was a NIGHTMARE! Haiz...If only angels can pack my bed..Hahahaaa...

7th Day : Chiang Mai - 4th Mar '05

Today was another great day. Went to 2 beautiful waterfall, a tribe village, the highest point in Thailand and good lunch too :) Today is the least tiring day. Journey wasn't that bad mainly because the mini bus was a better one, we were sitting infront and the road was less rocky. I think I'm kinda tanned now, and abit lobster. By time we are back in hotel was 4+pm, we could still see the sun. As today was the last day to do our final shopping, we waste no time in getting to the biggest shopping center in Chiang Mai.

It was really horrifying..we bought so much that we have to buy another big suitcase to check in. Mainly food. My friend brought a small suitcase coz she thought she won't be buying anything. Ended up she bught more than me and stuffed it in my suitcase.. I realized that most of the things we bought were for friends. Things bought for ourselves is probably 1:3! Hahahahaa.. Had to buy another suitcase because of cookies. We passed by a bakery in the mall and saw local cookies. Bought two to try and it's nice. Hence we ended up buying duno how many boxes but definately more than 20 boxes!! Even the sales-person was smiling from cheek to cheek :p It's nice so thought buy some to give to friends. Of course, keeping some for ourselves too! I'm surprised by the shopping we did. Hahhaaa..to think we had to buy another suitcase! For sure the next holiday trip, we'll be bringing a big suitcase. Nevermind if alot empty space..at least if we start releasing our shopping spirit, we still have enuff space. heheee..

Will be going back tomolo liao. Dewey told me I'm serving 1st and 2nd service Cam3 this Sun. Aiyo..me will only touch down 10+pm and according to past experience, I will definately unpack once I reach home and by time I sleep will be at least 3am..thank God Vivian agreeded to swope with me. At least now I can sleep longer :p

Duno for my friend but I really enjoyed this trip. Will do a summary when I'm back in Singapore, with all the information on hand. I think I will come back to Chiang Mai again if my friends wanna go trekking. Maybe go for a 3D2N kinda of trek. It's really fun! Anybody wanna come to Chiang Mai, I'll strongly recommend the trek and rafting. Chiang Rai? Please take a domestic flight to Chiang Rai instead. It's really worthwhile compared to the 7 hours bumpy ride from Chiang Mai

Alright, gotta go back pack lugguage liao..most likely will walk back and buy some fruits on the way. Have not been eating them coz scare irritate my tummy. There were a total of 9 people in the group. One couple from Italy, 2 babes and 2 hunks from Germany, 1 guy from England, my friend and myself. Initially I was quite worried that today will be another boring day but thank God it wasn't. In fact it was the best in this Thailand trip. I enjoyed it! I like it and I love it!

We started off with trekking up hill to a village. The weather was super hot and the hill was kinda steep. By time we reached halfway of the hill, the Italian couple and my friend decided to turn back to the bus coz it was getting real steep and tiring. The rest of us followed the guide up the hill. Though it was tiring, I was enjoying it. Much better than having me sit in the bus for a 3hrs bumpy ride! Nice view as we made our way up the hill. The trek was statisfying. In the village, we had a chance to try the crossbow. An instrument that the villagers uses to hunt. Fun! Interesting! Making our way back to the bus was abit tricky. Going up was tiring but coming down was slightly dangerous coz there were no railings except rocks and leaves. Thank God that everybody survived! Hahahaa..

After lunch, we went to another village called the Karen Village. They are a friendly bunch of folks with kids running around selling their hand-made necklace. "10baht..10baht.." repeatedly by the kids. Next destination was the waterfall. Nothing much for me coz we weren't inform swimming is encouraged. Anyway, there were alot people who didn't swim. Just relax there lor :)

Other then the trek, the next fun thing is the elephant ride. It was my first attempt. I've never like elephant riding coz I feel its dirty and scary. However, it was included in the package and everybody was riding it, I din wanna be a wet blanket. Surprisingly it was fun. Maybe because its not like a normal elephant ride. Its more of a elephant trek. The elephant went into the forest, going up and going down so it was really exciting. Especially the coming down. You can really feel as if you are falling off!! Fun!

My favourite of the day was the last activites. Rafting! It's really cool! The Italian couple gave it a missed so the 7 of us split up into 3s and 4s. The English guy Julian, my friend and myself on 1 raft. One of their 'raft-man' took the lead in front while Julian helped out at the back. My friend and I, of course relaz on the raft while the men do the work :p As we float down the river, our shoes and butt were wet, until some bloody (term by Julian) kids in the river hopped onto the raft and nearly capsized it. In the process of that, Julian and me fell into the river!!! Ask me why I don't kids...how to like them like that..??? Well...I was soaked totally coz when I fell, I literally dropped into the river whereas Julain was soaked to the chest coz he held onto the raft and he taller mah.. Some distance away from the kids we climbed back onto the raft.

Our raft, compared to the other one was like a Titanic. The other one was like a speedboat. Our Titanic due to some technical fault, tends to sink on the right (I was sitting on the right and my friend on the left) Trust me, not because I was heavier..its really the raft's fault. At a turning point, the raft hit onto a rock so hard that my leg slipped off the raft and inorder not to dropped into the water again, I stood up from the raft since it was at a shallow point. To my horror, the raft just sail off quickly leaving me behind!!! Sitting on the raft it seem to be sailing VERY slowly. Once I was off the raft, I feel as it the raft was a speedboat! I walked in the river while the guys stalled the raft for me infront. Conclusion, I was in the river twice..Bbut then, I really enjoyed myself. Seriously, I dun mind falling into the river again :p Rafting is really fun! MUCH better than kayaking and canoeing!

Chiang Mai has proven herself interesting today. The trekking and rafting. If anyone wanna go come Chiang Mai, PLEASE...you have to sign up for the trekking and rafting. Golden Triangle! GIVE IT A MISS and you won't regret it. I dun mind now coming again for a 3D2N trek! Hahahaaa...

5th Day (Part II) : Chiang Mai - 2 Mar '03

I forgot to note something VERY interesting hence back again, anyway nothing much to do also...everywhere now is pub and pub and pub

I wanted to say my legs are now all patches of blue black blue black arr... Yesterday my first attempt with foot reflexology and body massage. Not those take off clothes and appy oil. Its those normal finger press press kind. My friend went for the body massage first then I see see kinda interested. Also bcoz my legs very suan leh...after all the days of walk walk walk and nothing but walk! After some encouragement from my friend, I plucked up my courage for my very first attempt, which was also my last. Why??? Becoz now my legs are all patches of colors!! Yesterday the lady massage my legs then I kept laughing coz itchy then certain areas she pressed very painful. I look kinda comical in a way. Even the aunty was telling the others duno wat about me..they all look at me and laughed....I think I am easily bruised..and now my arms are all red...mosqitoes bite me now itchy scratch scratch as I type... :(

Another interesting issue is my friend. She enjoyed bargaining eversince she came to Thailand. First in Bangkok she bargain abit but only abit. But yesterday hor, she really bargain arr. We were at a stall selling green tea. My friend took 1 packet and asked

Friend: How much?

Man: 50Baht

Friend: 30 lah (Cheeky)

Man: Cannot lah (Unwillingly)

Friend: Can lah (Persistantly)

Man: Cannot lah (Sadly)

And that cannot can conversation carried on as I was sitting down at a stool trying their mango sample. Think the guy must be thinking where on earth these two girls are from, so cheap-skate. One bargaining while the other eating the free sample instead of buying.

Finally when my friend realize that that 50baht is less than S$2.50, she immediately make payment. She kinda pai seh also for wanting to bargain when its oredi less than S$2.50. Tell me where can you buy a packet of green tea for less than S$2.50?? The bargaining spirit just creeped in unknowingly :p

Tomolo gg ride elephant. Was cracking joke with my friend that scarly fall down from the elephant and kena stepped flat flat!! Coz today my friend she sat the speedboat and once she got off the boat, she tripped on the uneven staircase! Hahaha...very evil to laugh I know. But its really funny lah :p Actually i also quite scare. The elephant so big. Though I kinda big size the elephant step sure gone case!

Ok...people closing shop liao. Gotta go bazzar bargain for boxing gloves for a friend. Nite nite!

5th Day (Part I) : Chiang Mai - 2nd Mar '05

Slept for 3hrs and woke up early morning 6am today...I'm now actually quite sleepy..

Today went with a group to a few places, but all quite disappointing. There were 8 of us in the group. One man from Japan accompied by a Thai lady, an old couple from Germany, a lady from Canada, a guy named Alvin from Singapore, my friend and myself.

First we went to a place named the Hot Spring. There is a stream of water flowing from duno where. You see..our lady guide did no explanation. When we reached, all she did was to tell us the meeting time and venue and off we go on our own. Inorder to know abit, me kei kei stood near another group who were listening to their guide explaining the Hot Spring. The water is about 90 degrees and their people uses the spring to boil their eggs. I took a photo of the stream, hopefully it will come out good. Then you all can see the steam from the stream.

Next we went to an ancient temple, or rather, it looks like a abandon temple to me :p If I remember correctly is called Wat Chedi Luang. There is a sitting buddha inside and of course, we din go in. need to take off shoes somemore :p There is basically nothign for me to snap. Feel that my camera is under utilised..poor cam.. Haiz..anyway, me "yi shi yi shi" snap 1 photo of the pagoda for my mum to see.

Golden Triangle! Aiyo...that was really a DISAPPOINTMENT leh...okay...my fault also for not reading up on the place but in my mind , Golden Triangle should be a mountain, or at least a hill, quite happening that kind. On the contrary, its a river leh.."Hur!!?? You mean you duno??" Maybe its just me duh... This Golden Triangle is made up of 3 country. Left is Myanmar, top is China, right is Laos and bottom is Thailand. Sopposedly a place where trades of heroine took place. Heroine as in the drug :p The guide toold us to take a boat over to the borders of Laos. Paid 300baht to go over a small area of Laos and paid another 20baht for entry and entry to that small area only. Any furthermore will be shot! Hahahhaa...not that serious lah, but cannot go over lah. Bottonmline, NOTHING to see. Oh yah..and the journey..its 3hours of super BUMPY ride...

The ultimate was the tribal village. Not very tribal and not very village. I rest my case. Do I sound like I din enjoy my day?? Hmmm...okay, disappointed yes. But not to the extend of not enjoyable. I take it as a eye-opener. Chiang Mai still have 2 more days to prove she's exciting to me

4th Day (Part II) : Chiang Mai - 28th Feb '05

Just to finish my Day 4 activities. I noticed that I blog more too because I wanna note down my holiday mah. If I don't blog now I will surely forget. hahaha...

After blogging, my fren and I were just walking around the streets in Chiang Mai and there were alot Guest House and Travel Tours Agency. Well..we went into one of the Agency (Sai Sunsand Tour & Travel) and got a package for Thursday. Then this lady, she is very nice and helpful. She helped us got a Tuk Tuk at a good price to send us to the nearest Shopping Mall and briefly introduce us to the places we can go. And recommend a Guest House just across the road. 400Baht/nite with air-con, fan, fridge and toilet. No bath tub, anyway I dun use bath-tub unless its a good hotel :p Hahahaa... We made arrangement to check into the Guest House tomorrow as we'll be out the whole day tomorrow, Thur and Fri. We'll just need a place to stay in so might well save on the lodging. Furthermore the Guest House really look decent :p

Talking about the Shopping Mall, the things in there is not really that cheap but still cheaper back home lah. They have some small food stall at the basement and nice food they have. There is this bakery that sell nice bread too.

From the map we saw this Steak House that is named the best steak in Chiang Mai. Being a steak lover, we went there for dinner. Hmmm..nice ambience and open air but ALOT mosqitoes... The steak is nice, I like it. My friend tried the chix and she like it too. Their serving is super huge. One plate of soup is eqiuvalent to three bowls back in our resturant. then the casear salad is really A BOWL. Then their side dish is a corn and the corn is served as 1 whole, big, fat corn!! The price of course is not cheap. The steak is about S$40 but judging since its nice and huge, I'll recommend list its name on my blog

4th Day (Part I) : Chiang Mai - 2nd Mar '05

Here I am sitting in a Cyber Cafe. My friend need to send email back to her company so me might well do a post. Today boring leh..Chiang Mai life style kinda laid back. There are no taxi, only Tuk Tuk and trucks. Hence din really wanna take coz not by meter charge, later kena "carrt cake" arr..

While walking out of the hotel to Chiang Mai City (that' where I am right now) I saw a few shops selling nice clothes (or at least clothes that I like) but didn't buy alot coz they only accept cash... Those shops that accept credit cards don't have clothes I like... Don't have much cash liao so cannot anyhow spend.. :(

Have been walking around the city for almost 2 hrs but nothing much leh. Guess its all about trekking, rafting, kayaking, mountain and hills and yada yada yada..all these you either rent a jeep and find your way up or you sign up with a agency for a day tour. Have signed up to go up to Golden triangle and tribal Village tomolo and a mountain top waterfall place on Friday. So today and Thur free. However looking at today, I think we might look for some other activities to occupy ourselves on Thur. I sure won't wanna stay in the hotel room and rot :p There isn't any shopping mall leh...its all those little small shops. Good thing they have Haagan Daz and they accept visa! Hee..hee..

Ooh..my friend almost done liao so me gona stop loh, see when free will blog again :) Btw, me will be back in Singapore Sat night. Thur slept 1hr.. Fri slept 2hrs.. Sat better, had 8hrs of sleep :) but last nite 4hrs.. :( Today early morning went to their Floating Market. Signed up with a guide yesterday because its a total of 5hrs journey to and fro. Calculated and since the price is reasonable, why not. The guide told us that because its Monday, their Flaoting will not be so crowded. I was happy coz I don't like crowd. There were 6 of us in the group.

I was abit disappointed upon seeing the Floating Market because what he meant by not so crowded is really not so crowded..tot the extend take photo also not nice..Anyway, me bought a bowl of noodle from a aunty on the boat and a packet of mango. The mango 20baht leh, two somemore and very sweet leh. Then the bowl of noodle very nice also, the soup very nice and cost only 20baht also. Only thing I noticed tourist who sat down to eat are usually asian. The western they walk past see see then walk off. Think they don't dare to try, but like that they miss out the good food leh..hahaha! Oh yah, while I was eating, my friend noticed the aunty was washing the bowl with the river water!!!!! Well..I didn't see but even if I did, I will still continue to EAT! Sanctified already mah.. I realized from this trip that I'm more okie to eat street stall then my friend, whom we always thought she's the one who will love to eat. But this trip revealed that she's more picky leh! Hahahaa... Anyway, thank God that despite all the food I ate, I am still bouncing around! hee..hee.. :p

On our journey back to the hotel, the weather was so humid and I was so tired that I dozed off in the mini bus. Head was spinning like the washing machine and bang onto the window duno how many times. When I woke up, I was surprised to know that the guide had brought us to the Gem Factory!!!??? The 1 thing I hate about joining tour group is bringing me to those jewellery / gems / precious stones factory. No matter how precious they are...I just hate to go there.. So boring..and I duno how to appreciate them. Anyway this time round I wasn't very happy. He told us he's bringing us back to the hotel but ended up brought us to the factory. I felt cheated..plus I was tired and just woke up so was in a easily irritated mood. Anyway I told the guid we are not interested and wanna go back to the hotel. Hence he got another mini van to send us back. Journey back was HORRIBLE!!! TRAFFIC! TRAFFIC! JAM! JAM! It would be faster to take train arr..

Anyway, back in the hotel my friend and I was so tired and hungry that we just sat in the coffeehouse while waiting for the cabby to send us to the airport. Will be flying to Chiang Mai this evening. Their domestic flight only around S$70/pax. Duration about 70mins and by time reached Chiang Mai was 9+pm.

Porn Ping Hotel (the hotel I'm staying in) sent a a guy to picked us up from Chiang Mai Airport. We were expecting him and the hotel did not tell us its an additional charge to our bill. So we thought "Woah! This hotel provide good customer service" and even tipped the guy. Upon checking in then then tell us its an additional charge of 50baht! Kena cheated...anyway I'm Loaded Leong..Hmmpff..

Porn Ping Hotel is just 5mins walk from the Night Bazzaar. There's a seem to be quite happening disco just outside the hotel (under the wing of Porn Ping), 2 massage center withing the 5mins walk, a coffee shop and a Thai Boxing Ring. Walk around the bazaar and true enough, watever they have in Bangkok bazaar, they have it here. Cheaper? Ermmm...by a few baht lah. That is before I bargain. If you know how to bargain, I believe it will be very much cheaper. Their people are more keen to keep you, unlike those in Bangkok who will release you if you bargain more. Chiang Mai stall will tell you this amount and the moment you turn your back, they will immediately ask you, "How much you give me?". So that's when you'll start to have a GOOD deal. I bought some stuff here and now my suitcase is kinda full. Still can stuff in somemore things though :p

2nd Day : Bangkok - 27th Feb '05

Today was quite a fruitful day. Went to almost all the "supposedly to go" places today. Took the train to Chatuchak. Hmm...okie...I was kinda impressed with the size of the the area selling things. Its like a duno how many of our Bugis street! I did not buy alot things. Not because I dun have money :p but simply becoz I'll be gg to Chiangmai and I heard tha whatever they have here, they have it in Chiangmai, and cheaper! My mama raised no fool manz! Chatuchak really sell all kinds of things, even puppies! Very cute and only 2000Baht!!!! That kind of puppy is sold for at least $1000 in Singapore leh, and that exclude all the medical keep up fee and etc. The puppy is so cute that I nearly refused to put it back into the cage..:(

After Chatuchak we took the train to Siam center and MBK. The place is similiar to our Far East Plaza area. From there we went up to Khao San Road then walk down to Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddha Temple) , Frand Palace and a boat ride to view Temple of Daw on the other side of the river. Alright..I think some of you must be saying.."Hey! Why are you going to those temples instead of churches??" Well...Thailand is famous for their temples mah...duh.. Anyway i just went in to takes pictures, not to worship. So I'm happy! :)

The Boat ride took us to Chinatown where we had dinner in a chinese resturant because my friend been demanding for shark fins. Quite cheap but other then the fins, the other dishes couldn't even compare to those I have in the coffeehouse in the hotel I'm staying. Hey, even though the hotel I'm staying in looks very much like a travellers' motel, they have good food. At least till now, I still enjoy their food most. oh yah, and the food side stall fried chicken wings. S$30/pc. I ate 4!! hahhaaa.... :p

Went to Pat Pong after dinner. The place is kinda happening. All the pubs and backpackers are there. And their nite bazzar quite happening too. Only thing I'm puzzled by is as the bazzar is between the pubs, as I was walking down, there are people trying to get me into their pubs. I took a glance and saw ladies dancing naked on bar top...Errr...do I look like a guy....

Anyway, I am happy that we managed to go to these places today coz We'll be flying to Chiangmai tomolo evening. I enjoyed myself still, only thing I really REALLY hate is their disgusting ridiculous insane traffic!!!

1st Day : Bangkok - 26th Feb '05

Sorry Alwaysane to trouble you today..hahahaa..but don't worry, there will not be a 2nd time again coz this is gonna be my first attempt to Bangkok and my last too... Like I said, my homework was done for Chiangmai instead of Bangkok coz not very interested leh...

Anyway, this was what happened today. Took a cab to Sena Place Hotel but turned out that the charges there is kinda x, hence took cab to Number 1 Guest House recommended by Alwaysane. However, guess the place was too good coz it was fully booked..friend and me were so tired and hugry so we just check into another hotel which is opposite Guest House. We were not in the state to look for another hotel. All we wanted was to find a place, dump our lugguages and dash for food. It turned out that this hotel is not bad. Okay, its a budget hotel so the room is those YMCA pattern, but the food is good and cheap and the room, not that bad lah. Trust me, if I can sleep in there, its really not that bad :p Then the Coffee House has internet services, tt;s why you are seeing this blog. Hee..hee..

Walked and walked and walked and finally reached Big C Shopping Centre and another big shopping mall opp Big C.. Okie...the p**s in Big C are cheap, but not the brand I want leh...so I ended up with nothing. However, I bought some drugs. The medicine here are SOOO CHEAP! Half the price of what I can get in Singapore. Bought shoes, sandals and a sports wear. Will continue tomolo again. Bangkok really not the place for me hence should be flying off to Chiangmai on Mon noon. Despite that, I still enjoyed myself today, am happy, but leg very suan. Maybe tomolo will go massage :)

Ooh..my food is here. Gonna feast liao then shower then KO! hee..hee..

Flying loh...!

Just finished packing my lugguage..very sleepy..but since gonna change my email vacation response, tot might well post some words on my bloggie

Actually am excited, not because the place is nice but rather coz its my first time and I haven't been doing my homework on finding out the place. I passed leh! I really passed leh! 10 demerit points on the road for wrong lanes, but still...I passed leh! YEAHHH!!!!! I wanna thank my Daddy, Jesus, Holy Spirit, my father mother, my beloved frens and so on and so on...! Hahhaa...

Do you know that I was so afraid today. I really thought that I was going to fail. I've not been into the circuit for a week liao and the 90mins before my test today was a horrible disaster. It was raining like nobody's business in Ubi. The rain literally "PINT PIAK!! PINT PIAK!!" onto the car!! It was so loud that I couldn't heard my instructor talking. Each time the rain-drop 'piak' onto the car my heart was like racing, to a point my heart was beating according to the tempo of every rain-drop! Then the rain was heavy that despite the wiper was at its fastest swipe, I could only see a clearer vision for at MOST 1 second! Then I had to look intensively in front and the stupid wiper's moverment made me giddy..I had to blink my eyes duno how many times.. I nearly crashed into another car from the next lane because I was moving into the next lane w/o knowing! The rain was simply too heavy and misty and with the paddle of water 'piaking' onto the car each time a BIG vehicle drove passed me...I am not kidding, neither am I exaggerating. No joke, the rain was REALLY "Pint piaking"...

At that moment I was really thinking in my mind that I'm gonna fail...and in my heart I was complaining to Daddy why the stupid weather. Rain like this how to take test?? While waiting for the balloting to begin, I hid myself in the washroom cubicle praying. Praying for supernatural favor with the tester lah, Holy Spirit to remind me safetly and blind spot lah, good weather lah...Basically I prayed for everything and anything, most importantly, PASSED! Come to think of that, it was quite a funny scence. I really prayed VERY HARD. Hahhaa...I din wanna fail again mah. Very self lah, but Daddy still love me! Hee..hee.. First time immediate failure, though unfair, I sort of became abit paranoid having the tester beside me...When I got into the car with the tester, the rain somehow became very gentle, and slowly drizzling and eventually stopped by the time I'm out on the road. PRAISE GOD!!! But when I was driving into into the centre, I turned into the wrong lane..

Sitting infront of the tester, he shook his head!!! I was like breathless at that moment! Shake head leh! Shake head = FAILED leh!

Tester: You were good in circuit but coming back not very smooth arr..then wrong lane..

Tomato: Huh...failed arr..? (Voice trembling)

Tester: Hmmm.. (Continue looking through my paper)

Tester: Okay lah, okay lah..passed lah.

Tomato: (Surprisingly) Really? You gonna let me passed?

Tester: (Smiling) Yah yah, passed lah. Today I passed 3 ppl already, including you.

Tomato: (Silly laughter) Heh heh heh...thank you! Thank you! Heh..heh..heh..

This tester is sooo nice, sooo good and sooo kind. Best of all, he smiled at me! Yup! My dad went up for the altar call yesterday during Hokkien service. Dad and mum said they can go for service on their own hence I was at home sleeping. They happened to saw a friend of mine and they sat together. Was sleeping when my hp "e or e or" with the message 'your dad accepted Christ!!'. I was still blur blur but I woke up after a short while and upon checking my hp, I was like "HUH!? AM I DREAMING??!" I quickly sms my friend again to confirm the previous sms and I was really happy to know that I wasn't dreaming. Hallelujah!

Let me see...since 1997..hmm..2 more months and I'll be 8 years old spiritually, and after all these years of believing, finally its harvest time! Hahaha...I believe its something in all our hearts to wanna see our parents respond to His love and by His promise, it will surely come to pass because He IS faithful. This year 2005 is really a happening year. Its like "BOOM!!" and suddenly one by one you see somebody's mother accepted Jesus and somebody's father received Christ and so on and so on. Claim it and confess it.Believe it and thank Him for our family's salvation! Praise Jesus!

I really tot that my dad would take some time before he make this decision coz if me his daughter took 6 months in church to recieve, I really won't be surprised if he take a longer time than me. However, dad really surprises me by his 5 weeks in Hokkien service. Till today I still can't believe that my parents are actually born again but then, hee..hee.. going up..we are all going up The next thing I'm seeing it happen is dad and mum opening our house for care-group. Yeah yeah!!

My three movies in last week

In the past one week, I've watched three movies. Fighter in the wind, Seoul Raider and Constantine. This year Chinese New Year for me was really boring.. :( Everybody seem to be busy with their own 'pai nian' and stuff. Can you imagine that from 8th-10th I was rotting at home!? Yah..I slept, woke up eat, watch dvd and slept again..Till night time then I went out with friends. CNY eve night went midnite Seoul Raider and back home 2am. CNY 1st day went midnite Constantine and back home 6am. CNY 2nd day went dinner hang out with friends till 2am again. Even my mum was asking me why I have been staying at home in the noon and out to play only at night. What to do..everybody busy in the day, only free at night..sighz..Think I enjoyed myself only on Saturday where I was with some friends messing up a place with Yu Sheng and Sparkle. Hahaha... As usual, my comments on the 3 film I've watched.

Fighter in the wind
I dunno how many of you actually watched it. I kinda like it leh, at least I prefer very much this to Kungfu Hustle. My friend was asking if its a low budget film coz there's partically no cute guys in the show. The only one pretty is the lead actor's girlfriend.. Actually I also duno what I like about this show. The fighting, not very shiak but at least without much effects, its rather impressive. The cast, like I said, only the female lead is pretty. okay, maybe the bad Jap guy has a little 'sei'. The training part was too much for me thou. I can't help but to laugh at it and kept reminding myself its the after WWII generation so maybe its possible. Despite all the above, I still like the show. I believe I will get the DVD

Seoul Raider
One word, disappointed. Tokyo Raiders was so much better.

Constantine
First of all, I'm not a fan of Keanu Reeve's and I don't think much of his acting and I don't like the role he acted. Instead, I feel that the Midnight guy and the cop's acting was better than his. The movie started off pretty well with the casting of demon which I find it quite interesting. But slowly slowly it became less interesting. The story is a whole distortion of the bible with the devil having a son, Gabriel being the bad angel and seemingly having the devil saving the world for one life in hell. But overall its okay lah..of course placing the bible aside lah. You don't go hell just because you commit sucide, anyway...selah

Preaching to daddy tomato on CNY Eve

Tomato family in the living room

Mummy Tomato: (To daddy tomato) You 'pai seh' to lift up your hand for altar call huh?

Daddy Tomato: (Defensively) No lah! Praise Jesus! Was surprised that mum actually said all those to dad, but am glad she is doing so too. While we were having 'Yu Sheng' in the noon, while 'messing' it, mum was confessing good things and saying things like "Heavenly Father we thank you we are so happy". All of us were surprised but just laughed away. My eldest sis said to me, now that mum is going church, I am responsible for her..initially I was like... "Hey! that's not fair!" But on 2nd thought now, my responsible mine lor. No biggie anyway. I have Daddy, my responsibility is also His responsibility. Hee..hee... Come what may and He will make them all into bubbles for me to see His beauty

Little things that Daddy did for me in Israel

Some of my friends are bugging me for new post. Actually I have a lot og things in my heart and brain which I wanna share but I just duno how to pen it down. Some revelation and things from Daddy is so personal that I also duno how to share. Anyway, here's three little things He did for me in Israel. There's actually a very testimony which is not appropriate to share on my public blog so ask me personally and I will be more than glad to share! Hahahaa..

1st act of love
The camera which I brought over to Israel uses Sony memory stick. On the day we went Jordon, I was busy packing my things in the bus and I realized one of my memory stick is lost. I sort of ransacked the area I sat but there was no sight of it. I was kinda sad but I reminded myself not to worry about it. Then and then, I jsut told Daddy about it and went for lunch. I did not tell anyone about it. At the end of the day, I forgotten about the whole issue on my lost card. But to my surprise, when we reached Petra and we were out from the bus with all our bags, a friend passed nme a memory stick and said she found it under my seat! I was like, how can it be possible coz I did searched there too. Anyway, I was really glad and started telling everyone that I actually lost it and almost forgot about it. Praise Jesus!

2nd little act of love
There is this particular 256MB Sony stick which has footage of Petra and on Day 4 I just couldn't find it. Day 5 and 6 I still couldn't find it. Told a friend of mine and she was very worried. Worried not because its expensive, but because that card have a lot of her photos inside. Anyway, I just trust Daddy that He'll recover that card for me before I leave Israel. Somehow nowsaday, I dun seem to panic when I loose something. For those who duno, I lost my passport on the last day in my last year Israel trip and recovered it only when I reached the airport in the evening. I lost my wallet in a resturant in Plaza Singapura last year also but was recovered intact at the MRT Control Station in less than 30min. Since then, whenever I lost something, I just know that Daddy will recover it for me if it is something that is of some value to me. So whenever it happen, I just confess that it will be recovered and have the bo chiap attitude. And till now, He has never failed me. Anyway, the memory was found on the last 3rd in Jerusalem. Hallelujah!

3rd little act of love
2d nite in Jerusalem, as usual I took out my guitar to worship before I sleep and found that my pick is not in the holder! I began searching for it but just couldn't find. I was kinda disappointed coz the pick is out of stock in Singapore now I only left 2, which 1 of it has disappeared. I think I was sad and I din ask Daddy for the recovery, probably bcoz I still have another 1 so not very affected. It just left my mind like that the next morning. However, on the last nite in Jerusalem when I was about to hopped onto the bad, something caught my attention on the blanket. As I look closer, it was my pick! And it was lying nicely there on my tidied bed. Tell me how can it be possible, so nicely place in the centre on top of my blanket when I have been mseeing it every night and the pick has been missing for days. Anyway, I was really happy, not just because of the recovery, but bcoz of hte tot that even when I din ask Daddy, He did it for me

Maybe you might think, 'Aiyah, all these so common and minor' But to me, common as it may be, minor as it may seem, its a whole lot of His love for me. To don't wanna see me not smiling over lost items. He just wanna see me smile. Praise Him!! Btw, I'm still feeling sick..stupid cough just get worse during the night..

Tomato's BACK!!!

Hello everyone!! Me back from Israel liao. Have a lot things to share so am dating my blog starting from the day I left. Easier to identify with the daily happenings mah! Hahahaa.... I am actually quite tired after the long flight but I just can't wait to share some testimonies with you all so I'm gonna try to do it short and sweet and gotta go unpack before I sleep. Will update again tomolo.

24th Mon - Flying off to Israel
1st Testimony
Today morning while I was doing my last check on my luggage, a thought came to my mind. I was kinda concern for my mum as I would be away for 10 days and wondered who can help to do some follow-up on my mum. So I thought of calling Christina from Hokkien Service but I was too 'pai seh' to do it. Soon after that, my hp rang and it was Christina. She asked about how my mum was doing and so on. I mentioned that I will be flying off tonight and Christina said, "Oh ok. I'll arrange some people to visit your mum during the weekday. Chanel, you just go in peace and know that your mum is in good hand.". Praise God! I was really happy that Daddy arranged that call

2nd Testimony
1 hour before I left the house, I was thinking about how nice it would be to get my mum to just bless me. Have been telling her about the power of speech and the authority she has in the name of Jesus. Now that she's born again, of course must take advantage mah. However, I did not ask her for it coz din dare to ask. To my astonishment, just before I stepped outta my house, mum confessed in Hokkien to me this "Heavenly Father bless you and protect you to go safely and return safely". I was SOOooo happy and gladly said amen. As I stepped into the lift, I just felt so loved. I have been wanting to hear that prayer from the mouth of my parents eversince I was born again. Praise Jesus! As for my dad, I called home in the evening just before I board the flight. My dad on the other side of the phone confessed the same thing to me. Though my dad is not yet born again, I am still happy to hear that for I know his turn is coming too. Thank you Daddy!

Elektra

Today brought mum and dad to Hokkien care-group. Thank God its only 2 blocks away from mine. Hmm..they seem rather happy so I guess they should be attending it regularly. Tomolo gg hokkien service with them again. Dad actually asked me yesterday about them going to church next Sun while I'll be away in israel. They are still going despite my absence, praise God! :) Also he asked me for a chinese bible. Good thing I have a big print English/Chinese bible. The care-group leader ws asking me whether I showed the dvd 'Passion' to my dad coz he's like preaching to her! Hahahaa..dad reads the bible and is quite knowledgeable lah, but that also is an obstacle for him to accept Jesus. Will take time for him to figure out himself but then again, nothing is too hard for Daddy!

Watch Elektra yesterday. The movie is really not that exciting. I know that Elektra is some kind of comic character but the thing is I've never read it before. And since the show is about 'Elektra', I guess I'll appreciate it more if the story reveals more about her life, how she became 'dead' and wat's her next road in life. I mean quite a lot of points were left unexplained and I was a bit confused. Another thing is her relationship with that guy (duno his name). Why must they get her involve with that guy? I think leaving her alone with that guy as the father protecting his daughter is more than enough. I would think that Elektra is a very cool character that doesn't just spark fire of love like that.. Despite all these, I feel that this show is quite cool. Basically I find the fighting scence and effects quite 'shiak', at least for a fighting kind of movie. Feel that Elektra is quite shiak in her fights thou I feel that she's not very sexy in this show. her muscles hor..wah.. Btw, check out how she walk in the movie..I was like..err... Oh yah, the bad guys. Its funny how the son told the father his men will not be killed easily by Elektra when it was actually quite easy. However, I find the bad guys quite interesting leh, except for the part when one of them release snakes..my eyes was shut until his death lor. Hmm..this show, can watch lah

Gotta go do my final packing on my lugguage. Suddenly I'm leaving in 2 days time, so fast!

Friends

Have you ever thought of the importance of the friends around you? What would life be without them? Some may feel that its no biggie without friends coz life still goes on. But how many of you really enjoy living without friends? How many of you are happy without friends? How many of you see the difference between a person with a lot of friends and a person with none?

Daddy want to bless us and make us happy. T'm not good in Hokkien so when I was at the Hokkien service, I just clap clap during praise & worship. Two of my friends sat in with us and one of them, being the talkative one, explained to my mum wat was going on. Praise God for her Mum very funny. During holy communion, I told her to take a bread. When I passed her the cup, the bread was already in her mouth! Hahaha..so I broke half of mine for her. Then during altar call, mum raised hand again. Felt it'll be good for her faith to go to the front so went up with her. I feel that my mum is very brave leh . My dad, although he did not raise his hand, I just feel that a seed as planted. His eyes was kinda red leh. Duno leh, I choose to believe that very soon, VERY soon he will be the next to go out .

Mum asked me to buy her the song "Jesus loves me" the Hokkien version. I asked Louis but he said he doesn't know of any cd that carrys this song..Anybody knows? Spoke to mum about how she feel about today. She said she enjoyed and okay to go again this Sunday so am asking my dad to go with her again . Also will be bringing her to hokkien care-group this coming Sat. Thank God the place is just a few blocks away from our place.

Mummy Tomato received Christ! 7th Jan 2005

Hallelujah! My mum said the sinner's prayer on Fri morning. From my previous post I mentioned my 2nd sis actually asked me to get a leader down to our house to talk to my mum before taking her to church. Hence I called up my ex-cg leader Christina, who is also the one of the Hokkien Ministry leader, sort of a close assistant to Pastor Mark. Told her about my mum's condition and arranged for her to be down at my place on Fri morning. Frankly speaking, I din expect my mum to accept Jesus. I guess I was just kinda believing that watever Christina say will carry the anointing of God and let my mum feel the peace in her heart. When she feel the difference will she be willing to go church. However, getting born again after wat Christina say was sort of a impossible issue to me. I mean, yah, I did pray and even confessed that she will accept Christ but knowing my mum and all that she's gone through, I somehow just feel it was impossible, at least at that point of time despite I confess +ive with my mouth.

As Christina was speaking to my mum, my mum just nod nod and smile smile. Looking at her I really wonder whether she understood what Christina was saying. She seem to be listening but yet not listening. My heart was really not expecting any salvation to take place. But hey! God is good and He surpasses all human knowledge. He's a God who uses all impossibility to prove His greatness, authority, majesty, grace and His love for me. Just when possibility seems to fade, my mum said she wanna receive Jesus! For a moment I though I heard wrongly which I didn't. As Christina led my mum into the sinner's prayer, my mum started crying and crying. I actually din cry one, though I was really happy. I think I was more astonished than happy but mum cry cry until I also start to tear

After the prayer, Christina continued to sahre with my mum on some of her doubts and encouraged her to go church this Sun. Mum said okay and she said she felt relief which was something missing from her meditation session with the 'shifu'. Praise God! Today I spoke to dad and ask him to go church with mum tomolo. Partly becoz don't mum to be alone but majority is to expose him to knowing Jesus. If they can go church together regularly, I believe very soon dad will receive Jesus also. Anyway, dad agreeded to go, for the sake of my mum. Dad just want mum to be happy lah. I pray that everything will be smooth tomolo.

One thing I wanna share is that since early last year, I've been feeling that mum will receive Jesus very soon. I duno why but that's just how I felt. However, 2004 has become a history but mum still have not receive Jesus. One of my resolution for 2005 which I told Daddy in the Indoor Stadium was the salvation of my parents. Then last Sun, I told my mum I duno why somehow I just feel that mum is going to rec Jesus very soon. On second thought, I told her that I've been feeling that for a year but still not a reality. Was it just all my own 'wishful thinking' which didn't mean any thing? I was at that time a bit confused and sad. 5 days later and that 'wishful thinking' became a real happening in my life and that feeling has proven itself right. Praise Jesus! 14 days and half of my one resolution has come to pass, the next will be my dad.

My omniscient Daddy Vs my peanut brain

I was just talking to a friend about why things doesn't happen the way we want it to be. For example, it can ba a job position you want. A place you wanna go. A thing you wanna do. A life partner etc etc. Pastor taught on this a lot of times and if you were to ask around, there are bound to be people, I mean people who know God, will start to say the seemingly 'common' statement, "It not the time yet". Yah, true! Its not the time yet for it to happen the way you want but how many of us can really accept that statement and be obedient enough to not nag and 'politely' blame Daddy for what is not happening? Oh come on, don't tell me when things don't happen the way you want it to be, you don't blame Him at all? Not the least bit?? At least for me, I did. Not that I scream and yell at Daddy, just that I'll keep mumbling, knowing that He hears me It was once upon a time an 'unattainable' issue to me. Its always easier said than done. When it happened to me, I was really upset. I couldn't understand why. I kept asking Daddy "WHY???" and so many times I just carried on asking and asking without waiting for Him to answer. hahaa..

Don't know from when did I start to truly understand and accept it gracefully and really believing that all things work for MY good, even when things are not happening the way I want it to be. I've come to understand that 'not happening the way I want = not getting myself in hot soup'. Why am I saying that? Because I believe all things work for our good and there must be a reason why things are not happening the way we want it to be. If the 'happening' is gonna benefit or make us happy, do you think that the God whose love us so much to sacrifice Himself for us will prevent it from happening? Similarily, do you think that He knowing what hot soup we'll be in when the 'happening' take place will allow it to happen? Do you think God enjoy seeing us 'boiled'?? Hello..knock knock..He's not pyschotic lor I am convinced that the first thing Daddy wanna see on our face is our smile and the last thing is our tears..He'll rather intercede now and let us be unhappy then to allow us a temporary joy for a greater hurt. Daddy won't want us unhappy unless He forsee the kind of hot dessert we will produce. How many of you can be brutally honest and admit that you've experienced the above issue only to realize later and 'THANK' God that it did not happen the way you wanted it to be?? Well..I did

We are always so confident that we'll be so happy and blessed when certian things happen. But how far can our puny brain actually see into the future? Are you a prophet? Did you create the heaven and the earth? Our knowledge is not even a speck of dust compared to His. Daddy is a omniscient God while we are just a not knowing but think we are smart human being. I believe that as we are feeling upset over what is not happening, Daddy is upset too. As we are blaming Him for what's not happening, he's upset too. And guess what? Even when time past and we finally realized how good He is that He prevented the 'boiling' and we start praising Him, He is happy that we finally understood and happy with the smile on our face and laughter and praise. If its some other people, they might take the chance to pass sarcastic remarks. Aren't you glad that He's our God, our Daddy??

We getting upset doesn't mean we missed a good deal. Things not happening now doesn't mean its not gonna happen for the rest of our life. Instead of believing that its good for you when it happen, why not trust that Daddy has made a good move on your behalf? Anybody can pass the same remarks and encouragment but its what you ultimately believe and how you wanna trust Daddy's best FOR YOU

Is HTML a friend or enemy?

HALLELUJAH!!!!! Finally I'm done with the links through images. I tell you man...its really a BIG BIG relief when I finished okay. As I was doing it, I kept telling myself "I'm almost there..Hang on!" and "It's okay, greater is the Holy Spirit in me than the stupid HTML!". As I'm not familiar with the codes, I kept forgetting this and that and it's so irritating when I see all the mistakes through preview. Duno whether to laugh ot cry How?? To give up or to continue? Sighz..patience...Tomato..patience..

I'm REALLY amazed by those IT people who are dealing with all these codes. What kind of brain can actually memorised all the codes? For sure my peanut brain cannot. I've never touched HTML before but because of my bloggie, I have to slowly befriend HTML. Aiyo..but my Daddy loves me, plus with a good teacher, this peanut brain of mine can also produce big big nuts! So far so good, not really a nightmare though peanut brain really find this new friend challenging. Grace grace! Thank you teacher and all glory to Jesus! Hahahaa...

I am SOoooo satisfied and happy to look at my blog. Yah yah..for those IT experts out there who are thinking, "It's no biggie mah. It's so simple!" Well, let me tell you, it's a big deal TO ME. And if it is to me, it is to my Daddy. Daddy won't wanna see me getting upset infront of my pc so for sure He will help me in the jigsaw puzzle. Not that He's afraid of me complaining and repeatedly nagging Him (which I most likely will ) but simply because He love to see a smile on my face. Same to all His beloved reading this. Remeber hor, Daddy will DEFINATELY move His finger in watever that's making you unhappy. Why finger and not hand?? Aiyah...because as big as the matter may seem to us, it is nothing but like a dust to Him. Need His hand meh? His 1 little finger is MORE THAN ENOUGH lor! So simple also dunno arr? Hahhaaaa...

A quick update of the happenings today. Went to NUH with my mum for her review. Praise God the reports were good. She just did a laser on her eye coz of some blood vessel thingy in her eye. We reached NUH 2.30pm and waited and waited and waited till 4pm then the my mum's turn!! I never fail to wonder why we have to wait for hours before we get to see the doctor EVERY time. We were never late for reviews but always have to wait for at least 2hrs ...Anybody know why? Sighz.. Nevermind lor, me grabbed the opportunity to chat with my mum. Wanna share on my blog our conversation but Tomato is sleepy liao ..so will post again tomorrow.. nite nite

I submitted my form!

Tomato: Hello? Anyway, I wrote my available dates from 7th Feb since my parent has approved. But of course, if can I'll try to stay for CNY coz I'll be away in Israel for 10days leh. Hmm..see how it goes lah. Wah..come to think about it, if I really go help out in the Tsunami Relief thingy, I'll be away for at least 20 days. Wah...need to settle on my work then. If not scarly come back no money pay bills

My body is still aching from the work-out yesterday. Today do Cam3 I could feel my arms trembling uncontrollably Tomorrow still playing badminton and will be cycling if the weather is good. All these aches just prove that Tomato need more regular work-out. It was midnight and there's no other better show and not knowing the show is that long, tickets were bought. I was confused first 30 mins I guess coz I din noe wats the show about. I tell you man, the show is nearly 3hrs okay..so long that I nearly couldn't make it. And the show no 'high tide' one lor.. I din even know its based on a true story etc. Bottomline, I know nuts about the show.

Basically the show is about a guy Howard Hughes (if I get the name correctly) who make a fortune from his inheritance. I think he's a perfectionist, the fact that he kept altering his film, Hell's Angel until duno how many years before it was released. From there he bought over an airline company lah, his love life lah, or rather, his playboy life-style. Actually I find the storyline of the show quite messy. Abit here and abit there, dun really know what the show is focusing. Maybe the show is just about the life of this Howard Hughes..but then it make the whole show kinda standard lor. Just watch that kind, nothing interesting. Except for the part that I think Howard Hughes is mad. I think schizophrenic is a better term Oh yah, I somehow from the show got the message that his illness has something to do with the mother. Why does the show keep repeating that scene of his mum? Actually there was alot things about the show I dun understand. Clothes burning lah, bottles in his projection room lah etc.. Too messy lah, or maybe its me who don't know how to appreciate good movies Hee..hee..

Despite that, I won't be surprised if this show is nominated for any award. As 'standard' as the show is, it's kinda ermm..wats the word? Aiyah..don't lah, my vocab not powerful enough. but somehow I feel that its not impossible for this show to get an award. Well..at least I feel that Leonardo did a good job in this show. I dun really watch his show except for his Titanic. That show such a big 'Woo-ah' so cannot miss mah. I don't know for his other movies but for this, I really feel he did very well, acting as a mad man Hahaaa..
This show, can watch lah but don't watch it if you feel tired or sleepy, unless you wanna miss part of the show here and there

Okay..gotta sleep now, yawning already Nite nite

Volunteering to help the Tsunami victims - Part II

Conversation translated from chinese

Tomato: Mum, you know about the Tsunami thingy? Alot destruction on lives and countries.

Mummy Tomato: Yah, alot people died and still missing right?

Tomato: Yah, about 8000 still missing. Then their houses lah, school lah and building also destroyed by the flood.

Mummy Tomato: (Listening attentively and looking concern)

Tomato: (Hitting while the iron is still hot) Then so many people injured with so little medical help. They don't have enough medical supplies nor doctors and nurses to attend to their medical needs. Not enough people to help on other areas of relief like rebuilding shelter. Then not many people willing to volunteer their help so situation very bad

Mummy Tomato: Aiyah, nowsaday people very selfish one. Everyone just care for themselves of course nobody wanna go help. Furthermore Singaporean are so pampered, go there volunteer sure suffer. Like that who will wanna go?

Tomato: Yah lor..so there's a very high demand for volunteers.

Mummy Tomato: (Silence and shaking head)

Tomato: (Pausing and took a deep breath) Mum, I'm thinking of volunteering myself leh

Mummy Tomato: (Looking at Tomato) What help? You wanna go over there?

Tomato: Yah lor. Go over there and help lor. Can or not?

Mummy Tomato: No wonder you so 'guah' sit here suddenly talk so much.

Tomato: I've been thinking of this for 2 weeks already. Yesterday my Pastor said will send team over and asking for volunteer so I'm thinking of signing up.

Mummy Tomato: (Silence)

Tomato: Can or not?

Mummy Tomato: You know how to take care of yourself so if you wanna go you go lor.

Tomato: (Astonished) Are you serious?! You are saying I can go?? You not pulling my leg right? I thought you will object immediately!

Mummy Tomato: Why object?

Tomato: My safety lor. Later say what got life go no life come back that kind.

Mummy Tomato: Aiyah..life and death all predestined one lah. Go there help people mah. You want you go lor. I no objection lah, you ask your dad lor. But I think he also okay one lah.

Tomato: (Happily) You say one arr..I tonight go sign up arr

Mummy Tomato: Up to you lor

Tomato: Thanks mum!
                          ---------------------------------------------------------------

Hallelujah! I really din expect my mum to approve. It was easier than I thought! She really responded the best and unexpected way, praise Jesus!

Me took a form from the counter after bible study today. I saw alot people at the counter also taking the forms. I wonder how many of them are volunteering help in packing and how many in going over. I was filling up the form just now and there were a few questions which I do not know how to answer. Like available from which date and how else can I help. The dates, the meeting for the volunteer will be next Sun after 4th service so I reckon the first volunteer team to go over will start only from 17th. And it is stated that the trip will be at least 1 week to 10 days. I'm leaving Israel on 24th so I guess its not possible for me to go before Israel. So only after Israel trip in Feb. And I wonder whether they'll still need me by then. As for the how else can I help. I really duno leh. I'm not a doctor nor a nurse thou I know simple First Aid. I'm not an Engineer thou I can help in some building stuff and logic construct. I'm not a Counsellor thou I can listen to them and pray for them Frankly speaking, I really duno what I can do. I have a bit of strength so can carry stuff around. I'm quite good hands on so should be able to help with "lego" constructing. Basically the fact I'll go over will be I'll do anything. Anything need assistance, anywhere need help, I'll do. Just tell me what and I'll do my best to help. So how to fill in this question?

Then the form says we'll have to provide our own airfare, food and water supplies and get immunised before departure. Now my "cpu" abit shut off liao hence abit disorganized. How many of you were at bible study today? Or rather, yesterday? Pastor mentioned that NCC is rendering help to various organisation invloved in helping the Tsunami victims in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Thailand. After viewing the video, I was like, "I WANT TO GO"

Doing volunteering work in poorer country has always been in my heart. Had wanted to study Nursing but couldn't due to family's objection, hence I ended up in Business. Years ago I wanted to sign up with some organisation to volunteer help in poorer countries but was impossible coz my parents disapproved. A thought came to me last year. That is to go and build a school but that will probably only take place in another duno how many years because currently I have a high commitment in the family and building a school mean not in Singapore for a period of time. So its a desire which I shelf it somewhere in my heart, trusting Daddy for the right time. I've got a friend who agreeded to contribute 5k instead of physical help but I trust there'll be more coz she will be so loaded by then Then another friend said will go with me and help me in delegating jobs to people. Then another said will help build and another said can set up anything regarding media and IT. Hahahaa.. so sweet hor

Early last week I was thinking of signing up with some organisation to help the Tsunami victims but eventually didn't coz didn't know how to bring up the issue to my parents. But when Pastor mentioned today, the desire was once again stirred up and I was so excited and wanted to go. I've contacted a few friends and I guess I will have some interested parties. But then again, how am I going to tell my mum?? I'll be calling up church office tomolo to check on the details before I approach her for approval. Beside that, NCC is looking for professionals like doctors, nurses n engineers and I'm not in any of the above catogory so I also duno whether they will want me. If my mum approve but NCC dun need me in their team, I'll go sign up with the outside organisation. As long as my mum approve. I can't imagine my mum saying "You want you go lor, up to you. It's good to help people", but I can imagine her saying "You not scare no life come back then go lor" and I hope to at least hear that Hahahaaa... I know she's just concern about my safety but I really wanna go.. If everything turns out well tomolo, I'll grab a application form at the counter tomolo!

I like things to be colourful but I don't know if its harder to read. I find it okay leh but duno for you all

Bought by JESUS' BLOOD

I've been having this pain for few years and when the pain comes, its really unbearable to the extend that I can't even stand straight. I have a drug (not heroin that kind)that I've been taking for at least 2 years but recently it was taken back from the market because they found out that excessive consumption of this pill can lead to heart attack. Eversince the pill was taken out from the market, Iwill be bedridden whenever the pain visit me. Last month my doctor gave me a new pill which is the replacement of my previous pill but it didn't work at all and my condition seems to have worsen. However when I visited the doctor today, he told me that he wanna refer me to a specialist because its been a long time and I'm still having pain, or rather more pain. Furthermore, he has no more drug that he can actually prescribe to me. He wrote me a letter and gave me a name card of a specialist and urge me to consult the specialist before I leave for Israel at the end of this month

The issue here is that I REALLY DON'T wanna see the specialist. The thought of going to the specialist just remind me of the time when I had to consult a neuro specialist for my migraine 3 4 years ago. Consulting the specialist drained my bank account and destroyed my immune system due to the constant testing of drugs and injections. It was really a horrible period which I can't phrase simply with words. I hate to go through all those cycle again especially when now both my bank account and my health is recovering. Praise God! I don't wanna go through the physical pain nor throw my money to the loser devil. Somehow I just feel that making my first visit to the specialist = endless checkups and endless bad reports. Machiam geniune pig like that..

Some of my friends urge me to go too but despite the pain now, I somehow just don't feel good in going leh.. You know, people can tell you "Hey! Trust God for healing", "Hey! Reject those syptoms in your body", "I really know how you feel" and blah blah blah...but when you are the one in the midst of this whole thing, okie okie...me me..I'm in the midst of this whole thing, I rather not hear the above. I know people meant well and what they said is THE truth but.. *singing* "I'm not a superwoman" I do appreciate the love coming from them but I guess keeping me in prayer are much better than always asking me "How?"...like that will direct me back to the syptoms leh.. So just keep me in prayer that I'll be so convinced and sensitive to what the Spirit leads when I make decision.

Despite the pain I'm feeling and the referral letter, I still feel okay emotionally. I mean, I affected by the pain physically but I'm not very sad leh. I still can laugh and sing songs and play guitar and draw tomato! Hahaaa.. I remember recently Pastor popped this question to the congregation asking how many of us when we are sad and depressed, we still feel joy deep in the heart. Its like you are very sad but yet you're still feeling okay from duno where, its somewhere there deep in your heart. Am I making sense?? Anyway nevermind, coz I'll still continue typing. What Pastor said was like a 'release' to me. Coz there were so many times when I felt unhappy or even devasted, super sad and even cried, but yet somewhere in my heart I can feel I'm not that 'end of the world' kinda thing. Same thing goes to when I'm angry or frustrated. I can be so very sad or so very angry but my heart can still hum a tune. So much so to the point that I find myself abit weird and even question myself am I mad? I'm suppose to be very sad / angry but why am I still humming a tune??!!

I believe some of you out there have experienced the above scenario. It has never occurred to me its the Holy Spirit until Pastor said so. So dumb right? okie okie..I mean Me! So simple and direct I also don't know. (But then if I everything also know then don't need Pastor liao! hahha..)But well, now I know, and I know that I'm not mad! Hahaaa.. I thank God for this coz despite what's happening, I'm still feeling quite ok. Somehow I just know everythig is gona be alright. Ask me why and I'll say because my Daddy VERY SHIAK and His hands VERY BIG, VERY STRONG and SO MIGHTY there's NOTHING my Daddy cannot do. I know very well my Daddy LOVES ME SOOOO MUCH that He WILL NOT let me suffer. Don't play play arr..I'm BOUGHT BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS arr..

Comic - Matthew 7:7

Finally with the help of our beloved Dewey...here's the TomatoBrinjal comic! The thing is that it was not written on the DVD cover its (1989) version. My brother recently bought this DVD. At the same time, the theatre is showing Phantom of the opera. Okay, the key here is that I’ve never saw the musical nor read the book, neither do I know that there were different versions. All along I thought it’s just the one and only story. So naturally I would think that it’s the same movie So it was like 1+am and I wasn’t really sleepy so thought maybe I’ll watch something light-hearted before I head for my dreams. The next thing I know was that I’m watching a psychotic show. I was puzzled after the show coz I thought I read somewhere that it’s according to Andrew Lloyd Webber musical play but what I just saw was definitely not anything like that. It was unlike I saw the poster of the now showing movie at a bus-stop did I realized that its two different movie. Needless to say, I bought ticket to that show shortly after.

Phantom of the opera (1989) is a psycho show. It’s eerie and violent, with the brutal killing, bloody corpses and the sewing of pieces of skin on the Phantom’s face. It seem like the theme of this show is nothing but BLOOD! In this version, the Phantom, Robert Englund (Erik) made a pact with the devil for his music to last and loved by the world forever, which in return, received mutilation on his face. In order to make a human look-like mask, he went around killing people and skinning them. With the pieces of skin, he would sew piece by piece on his face and changing them periodically. This is 100% not a musical movie. But to be fair to the show, judging that it was done in 1989, it has surely won my compliment to rate it as a successful gross movie. I was carrying a different expectation when I watch this show hence was disappointed. On the contrary, if I knew that it was this kind, I believe I will be intrigued and at the same time enjoy the show. If you like gross show, you will most likely enjoy this. However, bear in mind that this is a 80s movie and from there, you’ll start to enjoy the movie

Phantom of the opera (2004) is a good adaptation. Joel Schumacher has done a great job, at least to me. He has covered the movie with fantastic acting, songs and settings. Had it not for the poor sound system and those people walking to and fro the toilet and their seats, I will say that I’ve enjoyed wholly my 1+hr in the theatre. I was wondering why these people kept walking to the toilet during the show. As for the sound, its not live so what more can I expect? But still, the theme Phantom of the opera was awesome!!

Emmy Rossum (Christine), not only can she act, her vocal is ‘Woah!’ Patrick Wilson (Raoul) has a nice voice too but I think more will give attention to his face Gerard Butler (Phantom) however is a bit weak in vocal. I remember there were a few notes that He seem to be struggling with but he certainly brings alive the Phantom role. I feel more towards his role. He portrayed very well the dark side of the Phantom and the brokenness which resulted from the cruel rejection of the world. I can’t help but tear at the scene where he sat in front of the monkey musical box, devastated as he releases Christine Minnie Driver (Carlotta), she is funny. She created a contrast

The only thing about the movie I kinda … is the ending. I still cannot come to an agreement that Christine died while the Phantom is still alive, with the fact that he left a rose and ring at her grave. Initially I was confused by the ending but after some calculation, I think the Phantom should die before Christine But then again, I would prefer a different closing scene than to see Christine’s tomb.. Is this the same ending in the musical and the book? I haven’t read the book and I don’t think I will.

2004 Christmas

My friends and I went for Ocean 12 today. I KO during the first half.. it was BORING! Or maybe part of the contribution came from my not enough sleep. But the other friend also find it boring. She dun even understand the show okay..but strange thing was that another friend was laughing her way thru-out the whole show! But then..my this friend is quite easily entertained by movies lor Dinner was a gathering with some people whom we befriended from our last trip to Israel early this year. We had dinner at Spizza. They have good food leh! Err..I mean pizzas. They serve only pizzas and a fewwww side dishes. Only two kinds of soup. Cream of chix and vegetables soup. Both are nice. I tried 3 kinds of pizza and they were all good. The place is ideal for small group of not more than 4 as their music is soft and the place very quiet. It like if you drop a spoon on the loud, it'll be so loud that you'll attract the attention of the whole resturant!

I ended my Christmas day at a pub where I drink approx 1.4L of beer 1.4L is not alot but I think I really have to abstain from beer for quite some time. Due to the recent different groups of gathering with friends, I think I've drank more beer in these 3 months compared to the whole of last 2 years! Am meeting my ex-colleagues next week and the suggested place from them happened to be Paulaners again..good beer, good finger food and good music..but I'm determined to drink just Sprite and eat sauages. Trust me, I can do it

Oh..I've got a new lock for my room door. My dad removed the previous knob inorder to open up my room door coz it was locked from inside and we have no keys to it. So now I have a new door knob and KEYS!!!

Testimony

Yup! Yup! Today I was at a site and not knowing there were two guys carrying loads of plinth behind me, I turned around and the guy with the plinth accidentally hit me somewhere between my right chest and shoulder. The guys didn't noticed me before that too. The impact was so great that I fell on my butt... it was so painful I nearly cried.. Everyone around me quickly helped me up and kept asking me if I was alright. However at that instant, it was really too painful for me to talk. Then the worker nearly freaked out and he kept apologizing to me. Thank God I managed to stand up so not that bad a scene. After a while the pain subsided. By evening, my right arm was much better coz I went ahead with my badminton game just now

The part where I was hit is now “painted all blue and black”.. not swollen though but certain stretching of the arm still hurts and deep breathing causes sharp pain on the right side of my chest. But overall was okay lah. The miraculous thing was that I didn’t bleed. I should have bled coz the plinths was pointed and the pointed end hit directly onto me. In addition, the impact was great, the fact that with my size I still popped on my butt..hahaaa… Anyway, I didn’t bleed. Only blue black now, not red. I think the guy and my mum will freak out if I did! Hahaa…

This incident reminded me of another accident that happened about 4 5 years aog. I can’t remember if I’ve share with you all before but its best sharing again coz I really feel that His protection is all over me ever since I was born again.

I was at Clementi with 3 friends one night and we were walking towards the bus-stop just below the MRT station, the one that’s super crowded. I somehow very kiasu and walked faster than my friends coz I saw that the bus we wanted was approaching behind us. As I was about to reached the boarding spot of the bus-stop, the rear mirror of the double-decker bus hit me on my head. To clarify, I was a good girl..I was walking behind the yellow line. But the bus came in too near and the double-decker bus rear mirror is super low lor..at least lower than a single deck bus. Anyway, the impact of the hit sent me off my feet. Suddenly before I knew what was happening, I felt a bang on my head and I landed in the hands of two black guys, duno from they popped out from but I definitely didn’t ‘piak’ onto the ground. Thank God! They asked me if I was okay and left when my friends rushed over. The driver also came down to check on me. Actually I can’t remember when they left, I was like blur blur that kind. Only knew one guy asked me if I was okay, then suddenly a lot commotion of “Chanel are you okay??” and blah blah blah.. I was in a daze for a while but recovered very fast. I even boarded the bus with my friends. From what I remember, there wasn’t much pain, only numbness. I remember my friends and I were still joking after that in the bus that the two black guys were angels in disguise! Heheee…

Bad bad devil plot to hurt me but I am GBHFDL and COMPLETELY PROTECTED! hee..

Shutter, Incredibles and my NEW handphone!

Watch Shutter and Incredibles past two days...

For Shutter, I was quite disappointed that even the Thai are copying moves from the Japs...all the crawling and nails..the hair covering the eyes...and the hair floating out of the sink...Thai has always been famous for their good horror shows..but Shutter <shutter><shutter>alone has copied all the above... Placing those aside, the show is actually not bad. Other than those moments when I 'wah liau' upon seeing the "copied" moves and a bit slow moving, I find that the story line is good and with a good unexpected ending, at least to me. But then again, its not horrifying. In fact, I find the show rather sad..

<incredibles><incredibles>Incredibles is a good one! In terms of entertainment, its better than <taxi><taxi>. But its kinda unfair if I were to make comparison between the two. If I remember correctly, I was laughing in the theatre approximately every 10mins! Their expression and creativity really amused me. Dash is one irritating yet comical character. I think I laughed the most watching him. But I love Elastic Girl. Why? Duno..maybe because she's the typical sacrificial wife. I think she's very sweet Find time to watch this show, its definately worth it. I should be watching a second time. Oh by the way, don't be late if you're gonna watch <incredibles>. Coz there's a bonus segment of animation before the show. Its very funny and it carry across a meaning. Don't worry if you are in the theatre and looking at that thinking "Am I in the wrong theatre" which my friend and I did! hahaaa...

I traded my E700A for a E800C yesterday at Samsung shop. I'm beginning to like this phone. Initially when I first saw it on poster and tv, it looks cool. But when I saw the actual thing in the shop, I din like it coz I dun like the white color part. Look very 'masar masar' to me leh..But then my E700A got problem so have to change..But thank God that when I trade the phone yesterday, they have another silver colour design. And I really find my new phone very cool leh

Heard about the couple Helen and John Burns??

Today's bible study we had two guest speakers, John and Helen Burns. They are from Canada and have been married to one another for I think at least 31 years. They taught mainly on relationship which was excellent. Be it family relationship, friendship or marriage, they rocks at it! Never had I met any speaker whom while they were up there teaching, I was nodding and laughing and 'amen-ing'. Especially the part when they mentioned about the difference b/w man and lady and the communicating in a relationship. Anyone reading this who have not heard of them, try getting hold of their materials. It does not just apply to christians but to everyone. Trust me, what they taught is something so common and simple to our brains yet something that we so commonly left out in our daily relationships. I really think that their cds for both nights is a 'must get' kinda thing.

I just bought a Jim Dunlop egg shaker. I'm begining to find percussion very cool. Not that I thought nothing of it in the past, but percussion to me was like...ermm..percussion lor. But playing with the shaker makes me very interested to explore more on the percussion. Hee..think there will be more to come. Only problem now is nobody to play the shaker with me..

My right eye red red oredi...think I accidentally poked my eye while I was taking out my lens.. Maybe I should cut my nails.. But with this length play guitar better leh. Maybe I should just learn how to take out my lens with my left hand ahhaaa.. Going walk walk with my friend tomrrow at orchard but with my specs on! Mine...how I hate that..so troublesome and 'tu'...

Finally some decent movies

Finally some decent movies after a period of all horror..can you believe it that the cinema was actually having a series of horror movies for last month??!! Probably because of Halloween...but the worst part was that the horror movies not horrifying one lor..for example..The Grudge..if not for Sarah Michelle Gellar...sighz...wasted... I miss Buffy leh..

Anyway, recently watched quite a few movies. I watched Yesterday Once More during my stay in Genting. A movie just enough to pass time..my friend didn't like it. Cinderalla Story, as the name says it all, its a cinderalla story with a cinderalla ending. The White Dragon is a typical brainless Hong Kong chinese movie, quite funny thou Princess Dairy II leh.. both my friend and I prefer part 1. Part II is not as funny. Not forgetting 2046, or is it 2064? Anyway I didn't enjoy that show..probably because I watched midnight. Tell you arr..I was in and out of wonderland while watching that show ...Ironically, I watched it with aliceinwonderland! hahaaa..

Taxi! I enjoyed that show very much. Washburn is really a loser. I don't think there can be such a loser in the police force. But I love Latifah, she is so funny, especially when she's driving crazily. The 7s BMW is so cool, be it red or blue. And their driving is ULTRA COOL!! Vanessa is really hot! I see her stripped I also "waaah..." I didn't expect that kind of ending leh, but its good lah. If you're looking for some substance show, Taxi is out. However if you're looking for an illogical good laugh, hot babes and cars and chase, then this is definately the one.

My friend booked me to watch Shutter but I'm still contemplating whether to go. Scarly its those kind of 'fake horror' show again..

First attempt

Finally I've created my own Blogger..kinda idiotic in this areas..sooo..keep on exploring!
